This year we have organized a trip to Conkers and there is a crèche available for those not going on the trip. There are a lot of indoor and outdoor activities for the children to take part in at Conkers. http://www.visitconkers.com/ While the children are having fun, the parents and carers will have the opportunity to listen to the talks below on different aspects of the syndrome.
Dr Samira Syed, Associate Specialist in Paediatrics (Dermatology) at GOSH.
Hilary Kennedy, Clinical Nurse Specialist (Birthmark Unit) at GOSH.
Dr Sophia Eriksson, Consultant Neurologist from National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. She is now seeing many SW Adults.
Mr John Brookes, Consultant Opthalmologist at GOSH and Moorfields.
Dr Sarah Aylett, Consultant Paediatric Neurologist from GOSH.
Sunday Evening will begin at 5.30pm with Non Stop Kids Entertainment
http://www.nonstopkids.co.uk/#!coventry/cqd3 Dinner will be at 7.00pm and Slightly Unusual http://www.slightlyunusual.co.uk/#!close-up/c11q6 will be performing table magic from 7.30pm until 9.00pm. There will be fun again after dinner for the children.
As the children enjoy the balloon race we will hold one again on the Monday morning. Since it is half term for the majority of the country and it was so popular last year, we have booked a room for the day and organised lunch so families can socialise a little longer. We could hold discussion groups on the Monday morning.
The Weekend is subsidised, the children stay free of charge and the cost for adults is £100 for the whole weekend. If you wish to stay for one night only (Saturday or Sunday) it is £60 per adult.
We look forward to seeing you all again and our new members.
